Ratas AS Keeps Reliability Above 97%

The Situation: Ratas AS' production planning processes occurred largely in the minds of site managers, with only general information committed to paper. As a result, the manufacturer found it difficult to meet delivery dates. Ratas AS managed all of its order, warehouse, sales, production, and supply chain data in an ERP system. The company relied on Microsoft Excel for reporting.

It took the floor manager one or two hours per day to create a daily production plan. Rather than receiving a production schedule, machine operators simply worked off of a list of manufacturing orders with comments on what to produce first. This time-consuming system led to major problems with low delivery reliability. This increased Ratas AS risk of loosing customers.

Today, a floor manager creates production plans and schedules within Demand Solutions APS, while a site manager and supply chain personnel can easily log on to view the information they need.
